Email Invitations

Designing Your Email Invite

  1. Navigate to your Host Dashboard and select PixInvite.
  2. Click on “Invite Design” to open the design interface.
  3. You’ll land on the Email tab, where you can design your invitation.
  4. Choose your preferred template from the available options to get started.
You won’t be able to save your design unless you add a link to your event page. This ensures guests can easily access your event details.
Save your design at regular intervals to avoid losing your work.

Sending Email Invites

  1. Once you’re satisfied with your design, click “Save & Send”.
  2. You’ll be prompted to enter a subject line. The default is “You’re invited to [Your Event Name]”.
  3. Click “Next” to choose your recipient list:
    • Primary Guests who haven’t been marked as invited yet
    • All Primary Guests regardless of their invite status
    • Specific guests
You can also choose to send yourself a test email to see how it looks before sending it to your guests. You should automatically appear as a guest when your event is created. This feature will not work if you aren’t listed as a guest with your email address.

SMS Invitations

Designing Your SMS Invite

  1. In the Invite Design area, click on the SMS tab.
  2. You’ll see the SMS Invite Designer with default text provided.
  3. Edit this text to personalize your message.
  4. You can add fields such as your event name and start date using the available options.
You won’t be able to save your message unless you include the Event Name & Event Page fields, as these are required.

Sending SMS Invites

  1. Once your SMS invite is ready, click “Save & Send”.
  2. Confirm that you want to send the text to all primary guests.
You need to ensure that your guests have consented to receive SMS messages from you about the event. When adding a guest, you can indicate their consent. This is a legal requirement in many regions to protect individuals from unwanted messages.
Only guests with a valid UK phone number & have valid consent will receive the text message. Guests will receive the text message from an account named ‘PixVow’. Guests can opt out of receiving any further SMS messages by clicking the link that will be appended to your message.

Deliverability & Analytics

After sending your invitations, you can view statistics to track their delivery:
  1. Go to your Host Dashboard and select PixInvite.
  2. Click on “Statistics” to view analytics.
  3. Here you’ll see a list of any email bounces, indicating guests who didn’t receive their email invitation.
SMS analytics are currently not available in this section, but will be added in a future update.
When guests receive their invite, their unique Guest ID will be added to any links to your event page so your guests can easily RSVP from your invite. For both Email & SMS invites, guests can choose to opt out of any future communication about your event by clicking unsubscribe. This will be handled & tracked on our platform.

Best Practices for Using PixInvite

  1. Clear Information: Ensure all essential event details (date, time, location) are clearly visible.
  2. Consistent Branding: Match your invitation design to your event’s theme or your personal style.
  3. Mobile-Friendly: Remember that many recipients will view your email invite on mobile devices, so keep the design responsive.
  4. Timing: Send invitations well in advance of your event, but not so early that guests forget.
  5. Follow-Up: Use PixInvite in conjunction with PixRespond to easily track responses and enable Follow-up Reminders under PixRespond Configuration to remind your guests to RSVP.
Remember you can quickly send invites to specific Primary Guests via the drop-down next to their name in the Guests tab of PixRespond.
