Accessing the Event Page
There are two primary ways to access an event page:- Via Link: The event host may send you a direct link to the event page.
- Via QR Code: The host might provide a QR code that you can scan with your mobile device.
Authentication Process
Depending on your status and the event’s security settings, you may encounter different scenarios when trying to access the event page:Scenario 1: Open Access
If the event is set to public and regardless if you’re logged in with a PixVow account associated with the event or not, you’ll have immediate access to the event page. Access to other areas such as submitting your RSVP may require further authentication.Scenario 2: PIN Protection
You’ll be prompted to enter a PIN before accessing the event page if:- You’re not logged in with a PixVow account, and the host has enabled PIN protection.
- You’re logged in with a PixVow account, but it’s not associated with the event (i.e., you’re not on the guest list), and PIN protection is enabled.
Navigating the Event Page
Once you’ve successfully accessed the event page, you’ll see the design and content that the host has set up. This may include:- Event details (date, time, location)
- RSVP options (if PixRespond is enabled)
- Gift registry information (if PixWish is enabled)
- Photo uploading options (if PixQR is enabled for media sharing)
- Any additional information the host has chosen to share
The exact layout and features available on the event page may vary depending on the host’s PixVow plan and their chosen design.
Interacting with Event Features
Depending on the features the host has enabled, you may be able to:- RSVP to the event
- View and purchase items from a gift registry
- Upload photos or videos
- Access event-specific information (like seating charts or menus)
Troubleshooting Access Issues
If you’re having trouble accessing the event page:- Ensure you’re using the correct link or QR code
- Check that you’re logged into the correct PixVow account (if applicable)
- Verify with the host that you’re on the guest list
- Make sure you have the correct PIN (if required)
