The Event Design feature allows you to create a stunning and personalised event page that reflects the unique character of your event. Whether you’re planning a wedding, corporate gathering, or birthday celebration, you can tailor your event page to match your vision and provide your guests with all the necessary information.

Accessing Event Design

To start designing your event page:
  1. Go to your Host Dashboard
  2. Navigate to the “Event Design” section

Customisation Options

Text Customisation

If you are on our PixVow Starter plan, you can edit a pre-defined text area on your event page. If you are on our PixVow Premium and above plan, you have full control over the text content on your event page:
  • Edit the content of each section
  • Change button labels and calls to action
  • Add custom sections for additional information (e.g., event agenda, dress code, transportation details)
  • Customise headings and subheadings to match your event’s tone

Merge Fields

Merge fields allow you to dynamically insert personalised information into your event page, such as the PixRespond feature and adding the RSVP deadline. Features that you’ve enabled on the Event Details page in your Host Dashboard will automatically be available on your chosen event template unless you manually remove it. If you aren’t on a PixVow plan that has that feature unlocked, it will not appear on your event page even if it’s in the template. For Interactive Elements such as [RSVP_BUTTON], these should be added into ‘buttons’ on your design:
  1. Edit or add a button to the section you want
  2. In the Action Type, select ‘Open Website’
  3. In the URL field, add the merge field e.g. [RSVP_BUTTON]. When you click away from this field, you’ll get a warning that it’s not a valid URL, but don’t worry, it will work correctly when your event page is live.

Visual Design

You can switch between different design templates to find one that best suits your event’s theme. This option is only available to subscribers of our PixVow Starter plan and above.
Some advanced design options and certain templates may only be available on higher-tier PixVow plans.

Custom Template Design / Build Your Own

Custom Template Design / Build Your Own templates are only available on the Premium plan.
For those who want complete control over their event page design, PixVow offers the ability to create a custom template from scratch. This option allows you to:
  • Start with a blank canvas
  • Fully customize layout and design elements
  • Create a truly unique event page
  • Use PixAssist to help generate design ideas and content
Custom template design requires more time and design skills. If you’re not comfortable with design tools, consider using a pre-made template or our consulting service.

Best Practices for Event Page Design

  1. Keep it clear and concise: Ensure that essential information (date, time, location) is easily visible.
  2. Maintain consistency: Use a consistent color scheme and font style throughout your page.
  3. Optimize for mobile: Remember that many guests will view your page on mobile devices.
  4. Highlight key features: Make sure important elements like RSVP buttons or gift registry links are prominent.
  5. Tell your story: Use images and text to convey the spirit of your event.

Previewing and Publishing

Before making your event page live:
  1. Use the “Preview” function to see how your page will appear to guests
  2. Check all links and features to ensure they’re working correctly
  3. Review your page on both desktop and mobile devices
  4. Once satisfied, click “Publish” to make your event page live
